STEFANO FARULLI
teacher in masterclasses and first violin in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Stefano Farulli, born in Fiesole (Italy), began his music education at the “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” under Alina Company and Oleksandr Semchuk at the “Accademia Internazionale Incontri col Maestro di Imola.”
Continuing his studies at the University of the Arts Berlin, he pursued his education under the guidance of Prof. Nora Chastain and Marlene Ito. Additionally, he benefited from guidance by Noah Bendix-Balgley. His artistic development was also significantly influenced by renowned artists such as Salvatore Accardo, Pierre Amoyal, Boris Belkin, Kolja Blacher, Leonidas Kavakos, Mihaela Martin, Ingolf Turban, Tabea Zimmermann, and the Casals Quartett.
His passion for orchestral playing was notably cultivated during his time as academist in the “Academy of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra” in Amsterdam in 2019 and in the “Academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra” from 2021 to 2023.
With any spare time he has alongside his commitments to orchestral work, Stefano likes to get involved in instructing young musicians and frequently acts as a guest teacher giving masterclasses throughout Italy.
Stefano Farulli plays a violin built by Přemysl Otakar Špidlen in 1973, ex-Uto Ughi.
