Stefano Delle Donne graduates in violin with honor at the Music State Conservatoire “U. Giordano” then he specializes in Chamber Music with the maximum grade and honor at the Music State Conservatoire “G. Frescobaldi” in Ferrara. During his studies he attends various Masterclasses with famous Maestros such as: M. Rogliano, M. Marin, F. Zwiauer, P. Vernikov, B. Belkin, P. Amoyal, O. Semchuk specializing in the instrument technique, solo repertoire and, with the Trio di Parma, in Chamber Music. 

He has cooperated with many orchestras: Orchestra ”Regionale of Valle d’Aosta” as first concertmaster; ”Orchestra Mozart” of Bologna, Orchestra of the ”Fondazione Lirica Petruzzelli” in Bari and the Orchestra ”LongLake Festival” of Lugano as first solo violin and concertmaster.

He has worked in the most important Italian and European theatres under the baton of the major orchestra conductors:  N. Paszkowski, G. Ferro, D. Rustioni, D. Matheuz, J. Tate, A. Fisch, J. Web, J. Axelrod, V. Ashkenazy, C. Abbado, R. Muti. He has cooperated with the highest level artists as: M. Rogliano, E. Bronzi, E. Dindo, L. Kavakos, O. Semchuk, P. Vernikov, A. Mustonen, A. Lonquich. 

Since very young he wins numerous competitions: 

1st prize at the 4th Rassegna Nazionale “Giovanissimi Talenti” of Trani (BA) and prize “D. Sarro” as best performer among all categories in 2000; 1st prize at the XI Festival Musicale Nazionale “Città del Barocco” and 7th competition for string instruments in Lecce in 2003; 1st overall prize in violin and 1st overall price in the string section at the competition “Le Camenae” – the European Competition for Young Musicians “Luigi Denza” at Castellammare di Stabia (NA) in 2007; 1st overall prize in the category soloists at the 7th National Competition of Music Performance “Città di Riccione” in 2009; 4th prize at the International Competition ”Premio Francesco Geminiani”, May 2010 (with special mention);1st prize at the International Competition “Giovani Musicisti” , Città di Treviso, Chamber Music Section, March 2012; 1st prize overall at the National Chamber Music Competition ”Giulio Rospigliosi” March 2012.

In 2013 he has been invited to enter the jury team at the 19th Chamber Music National Competition and in the same year he has recorded the CD ”Unpublished” for Dynamic s.r. with unreleased compositions by Niccolò Paganini for solo violin, violin and guitar, and quartet.

He got an advanced training diploma at the String Department of Accademia Musicale Internazionale ”Incontri col Maestro” in Imola with the Maestro O. Semchuk achieving the title of Specialized Master in November 2015.

He is one of the founders of the Cultural Association  “Note di Talento” for which he has realized various socio-cultural projects: “Musica per la Pace”, 2022, Italian Red Cross; “Cultura come Cura: la ricchezza della  varietà” for the International Festival “Note Illuminate 2023” winning the public financing by the municipality of Brescia within Brescia/Bergamo Italian Culture Capitals 2023.

He has debuted as composer at international level: with the premiere of “Piccola Suite Celeste” his composition for violin and orchestra at the Philharmonic Hall in Kiev (Ucraina) acclaimed with enthusiastic comment by the critics and audience; in September 2023 he has conducted his composition “Fantasia Concertante-Echo and Roar” world premiere at the opening for the 10th anniversary from birth of Stradivari Museum in Cremona. 

Recently he has composed an opera for solo violin “Inside, Mirror Reflection”, commissioned by the organization of the international Competition “Premio Città di Cremona 2024”.

He carries out an intense concert and compositive activity, cooperates with the Solisti Fiorentini, with the Regional Tuscany Orchestra; he’s the violin tutor for the “Youth International Orchestra” and teaches in various Music Accademies as violin teacher assistant in the advanced training courses of the M° Oleksandr Semchuk and Ksenia Milas.
